“Founded in 2016, we pride ourselves in the humane and caring nature in which our small herd of cows are treated”

Formed in February 2016, with the idea of offering our children and family the best source of milk possible, we decided that why not get some cows, let them feed off our rich fields while keeping the grass down, and supplying us with pure free range organic milk?

So we shopped around and welcomed some Friesland cows for quantity and a little Jersey for creamy milk. Due to a massive surplus of milk and public demand, Kate’s Dairy Farm was born, and we haven’t looked back!

It’s been a long and educational journey for us and even more so when you become emotionally attached to your animals, always making sure that they are kept healthy and strong. Since 2016 we have seen more additions to the family and expect another three calves in 2018.

Our cattle feed solely off the land and we DO NOT inject them with any hormones, to produce more milk or feed them any artificial supplements. Our cows are hand milked the old traditional way, reducing possible injury and our staff have a “hands on” experience.

We do however have routine checks with our Vets to inspect the condition and health of our cattle on a regular basis, and all our cattle have been tested and cleared of Bovine / Brucellosis.
We have also been inspected and passed by the department of health and listed as a micro dairy.
We now sell to the public through high demand and we have extended our range of products too.
